Team Expansion Pack!

The ARCsoft Team now has our first co-op student and directing a second working over in Anthropology on a specific project. I’ll post more about that project in a little while–or maybe the student will, that would make a lot of sense.

I’ve asked each of them to provide their own biographies so I won’t introduce them except to say I’m excited to work with both of them and am so looking forward to seeing what we can get done in the next four and eight months. I’m a big believer in the co-op program, which was one of the reasons I originally came to UVic myself, and I fully expect to learn as much from them as they learn from me.

Along those lines, each student is expected to post a blog article about something they’ve learned or something they’ve built at least every two weeks. There are a number of reasons for this directive: to retain the knowledge gained; to celebrate accomplishments; to share; to promote our service. For the students it’s also good practice at professional writing.
